Microsoft unveils Windows Mobile 7

 

Windows Mobile 7 is finally revealed, and of course Microsoft put it to use the snuff market share from Apple, Blackberry and Android. Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft and his team took advantage of the Mobile World Congress''''taking place in Barcelona from February 15 to 18 to show their system. Windows Mobile 7 is a new departure for Microsoft. Steve Ballmer says:
Without hesitation, I admit he has a year and a half we had to revise Windows Mobile from A to Z.''
Microsoft has decided to completely re-code Windows Mobile and start on a new basis instead of taking the code from previous versions. Note that the first version of Windows Mobile appeared in 2002. The result is surprising, a new look and feel completely different from older versions of Windows Mobile.

The Microsoft OS is mainly dedicated to the smart-phone with a touchscreen. OS developed with the aim to be much more focused''user friendly''. For example Windows Mobile 7 features easy access to your e-mails, social networks most popular, the ability to view streaming videos or browse your favorite photos.
Although Microsoft remains the leader as a provider of platforms and software on smart-phone, the competition is fierce. Apple and Blackberry who have different ways of approaching the market. The companies that build not only their phones but also all their software. Giving them a distinct advantage by giving them more control over their system and greater ease in the development of applications on their platform.
Andy Lees, vice president of Mobile Communications Declair:
''We have seen many things over the past two years. We even considered building our own telephone. But we decided to keep our strategy to develop the software with our partners. It's better for us.''
Windows Mobile 7 due out in 2010 and should be available on the main mobile phone companies America and Europe. AT & T and Orange, however, were chosen as partners of Windows Mobile 7
